TICO Services:

Intellectual Property Management

We provide technical support to help you protect your intellectual property rights. The primary objective of intellectual property (IP) management strategies is appropriation; however, effective IP management can also help innovative SMEs achieve a range of additional goals. These include securing investment, attracting potential partners or buyers, generating value through collaborations, and mitigating litigation risks.

While the distinction between the disciplines of management and law continues to be debated, it is clear that intellectual property can be leveraged by businesses in diverse ways. Traditionally, it has been used to protect products and innovations, but it is increasingly recognised as a valuable asset from which businesses can directly extract commercial value.

Patents:

- A Prior Art Search involves identifying existing inventions or technologies related to the subject of a proposed innovation, as disclosed by the individual submitting the information to the TISC Office.

- Trending technologies involve identifying the latest inventions and technological advancements that have been recently developed or applied for.

- Patent drafting is the process of preparing a patent application, which includes a detailed description of the invention and clearly defined claims outlining the scope of legal protection sought.

-  Patent filing is the process of submitting a patent application, following the drafting stage, to secure legal protection for an innovation and prevent its unauthorised use or exploitation.

 - Patent follow-up is the process of responding to examiners at the Egyptian Patent Office during their review of a patent application, with the aim of securing its approval and eventual grant.
