Postgraduate Programmes

1. Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmacology and Toxicology)

Academic Degree

Overview:

The programme offers an MSc degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology. It is designed to equip graduates with advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills for academic, research, and industry careers.

 

Admission Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited Egyptian university, with at least a "Good" overall grade or equivalent recognized by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities.

 

Programme Structure:

Total Credit Hours: 40 credit hours

Courses: 20 credit hours (2 general + 7 specialized courses)
Thesis: 20 credit hours

Duration: Minimum of two calendar years; maximum of five years.
Semester-based system.

2. Professional Master of Cosmeceuticals

Professional Degree

Overview:

This programme bridges pharmacy, dermatology, and cosmetic sciences, preparing graduates for careers in the cosmeceuticals industry through an advanced academic curriculum combined with field training.

 

Admission Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or an equivalent degree recognized by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities.
  • Employer approval for study commitment (if employed).
  • English proficiency (internal exam/IELTS/TOEFL).

 

Programme Structure:

Total Credit Hours: 50 credit hours

Courses + Research Project: 34 credit hours (Year 1)
Field Placements: 16 credit hours (Year 2)

Students must complete at least 75% of Year 1 credits before starting placements.
Completion in a minimum of two academic years; maximum of four years.

 

Modules:

Topics include Cosmetic Formulations, Cosmetic Technology, Quality Control, Marketing, and Dermatological Treatments.

Professional Degree

Overview:

This specialized programme trains graduates in drug safety surveillance, clinical trial monitoring, regulatory affairs, and risk management, preparing them for roles in pharmaceutical companies, regulatory bodies, and research institutions.

 

Admission Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), or an equivalent recognized degree.
  • Employer approval for study commitment (if employed).
  • English proficiency (internal exam/IELTS/TOEFL).

 

Programme Structure:

Total Credit Hours: 50 credit hours

Courses: 32 credit hours (Year 1)
Field Training + Research Project: 18 credit hours (Year 2)
