Visit to Zayed Centre for Children with Special Needs
On Tuesday, November 26th, Year Three students at the Department of Basic and Applied Psychology had the opportunity to visit the Zayed Centre for Children with Special Needs at the Air Force Hospital. This visit was both educational and inspiring, giving us a deeper understanding of the support and resources available for children with special needs in our community.
Event Highlights:
- Interactive Sessions: We participated in various sessions designed to engage children with different special needs. These activities were tailored to support their unique learning styles and abilities.
- Tour of the Facilities: We toured the centre, exploring the state-of-the-art facilities and labs that play a crucial role in the children's development and well-being.
-
Meet the Staff: We had the privilege of meeting the dedicated staff. Their passion and commitment to helping children thrive were truly inspiring.
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities is excited to announce that this visit marks the beginning of an ongoing partnership with the Zayed Centre for Children with Special Needs. We plan to collaborate on various projects and initiatives aimed at supporting the children and enhancing their learning experiences. This includes organizing regular visits, and joint activities.
