Inspiring World Day of Disability Celebration
On December 19th, the Advance School for Special Needs in the Fifth Settlement came alive with joy and inclusivity as it hosted a heartwarming event in honour of the World Day of Disability. This event, organised in collaboration with the Learning Resource Center (LRC), was a resounding success thanks to the overwhelming support and participation of all attendees.
The day was thoughtfully crafted with engaging activities tailored to students with special needs, fostering a sense of unity and celebration throughout the school. The awareness sessions conducted during the event underscored the significance of inclusivity and highlighted the transformative impact it has on our community, emphasising the power of unity in diversity.
A heartfelt note of gratitude goes out to Professor Shadia, the esteemed Dean of the Faculty, whose steadfast support was instrumental in making this event a reality. Special recognition is also due to Dr. Ahmad Abdel Aziz, Head of the Psychology Department, and Dr. Walla Hassan, Head of the Department of English Language and Literature (DELL), for their invaluable contributions. The active involvement and dedication of students from the Psychology and DELL departments further enriched the event, showcasing their commitment to making a difference.
