Student Records and Registry

 

This unit’s responsibilities include the following:

- Ensure that student records are accurate and up to date, liaising with other administrative departments as appropriate.

- Provide guidance to students and staff on accessing and using the Student Records System (SRS).

- Manage student registration, including uploading module data, registering students on their respective study plans and modules, and generating individual registration cards.

- Collaborate closely with the eLearning team and the Timetabling Unit to ensure students have timely access to their e-Learning platforms and teaching schedules.

- Support academic staff in applying the attendance policy through the SRS.

- Provide administrative support and regulatory guidance to examination boards.

- Exchange academic data with UK validating universities, as required.

- Produce analytical reports on student progression and prepare substantial datasets for the Annual Programme Review (APR) process.

- Support the academic portfolio review process by supplying relevant data and insights.

- Implement the decisions of panels and committees that affect student marks, including those from IPs, AMCs, Appeals, and mark amendments.

- Monitor the functionality of the SRS and recommend enhancements and further developments where needed.
