Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ Welcomes Delegation from Al-Zaytouna University, Libya, to Strengthen Regional Cooperation

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance regional academic collaboration, the British University in Egypt welcomed a high-level delegation from Al-Zaytouna University, Libya, on Tuesday, 8th March 2025.

The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdelsadeq, President of Al-Zaytouna University, and included Mr. Ali Gheith, Secretary-General, Prof. Dr. Tawfiq Ajjal, Sustainable Development Coordinator, and Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Jouili, Assistant Secretary-General for International Cooperation and Strategic Partnerships at the Arab Union for Sustainable Development and Environment.

The Libyan delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Yehia Bahy El-Din, Vice President for Research & Postgraduate Studies at the British University in Egypt. Discussions were held on various areas of mutual interest, resulting in a preliminary agreement on several joint programmes and collaborative activities.

The delegation also met with Prof. Dr. Attia Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering, where they were presented with a comprehensive overview of the faculty’s departments and academic offerings. This was followed by a guided tour of the faculty's laboratories and research facilities.

Additionally, the visitors toured the University Library, where they explored the university’s educational resources, including its digital learning platforms, book collections, and state-of-the-art facilities.

The visit concluded at the Faculty of Continuing Education, where the delegation engaged with Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ staff, students, and Libyan researchers currently benefiting from competitive academic and research opportunities offered by the university.
